Bowls is a sport that can be enjoyed by all ages and played both indoors and outdoors. At club level it is a very social game and provides plenty of gentle exercise and a huge dose of competitive spirit. Internationally, it is played as part of the Commonwealth Games and in 2010 Wales came home with Gold and Bronze medals. The next World Bowls Championships will be held in 2012 in Adelaide, Australia.
The WBA and your local club would love to welcome new members and many of the clubs in Wales hold open days or regular sessions where new bowlers can try the game for free. For more details contact your nearest club.
